Don Bolls, Pastor
Aspinwall Presbyterian Church
Don
Bolls has been the pastor of Aspinwall Church since 1987. He received his
B.S. in Math and Statistics from Virginia Tech in 1975, a Doctor of Ministry
degree from Union Theological Seminary (Virginia) in 1979, and a Masters in
Orthodox Studies from Balamand University, Beirut, Lebanon in 2005.
Don previously served as pastor of the
Summerton, SC Presbyterian Church and as associate at First Presbyterian in Aiken, SC where he met and married
his wife Barbara. They have a son Seth who currently lives Ohio.
Don
enjoys reading, sports (including Taekwondo, Tai Chi, golf, yoga and running),
reading, and classical music. He is
beloved by the children of the church, except for those who find his presence
annoying, and tries to limit his sermons to 12-14 minutes, unless he really
gets on a roll. Don also thinks this is
a great congregation, which is why he has stayed here for 21 years, and not
because he could not get a job doing something else (although no one is sure
what else he is actually qualified to do). If you decide to visit our church, he is
easily identifiable as the slightly balding fellow running around up front.
